I have read that platform every day for two years and contributed nothing to it, and I have finally understood that the model has no way of seeing me. It runs on output. If you do not post, comment or turn up, then as far as anybody there is concerned you do not exist, however many hours you have put in. Two years of attendance and no attendance record.
Twenty six, west London, switch, and my actual experience is one meeting last year that was pleasant and went nowhere, plus an enormous amount of reading that I cannot prove to anyone.
So this advert is the first thing I have written in public about any of it. It took four attempts and one abandoned draft that was mostly apologising.
What I want is a single conversation with somebody who is not going to turn the first ten minutes into an examination of how serious I am. I think I lead more than I follow, and I would like to find that out properly rather than deciding it from reading about other people.
Not looking for anybody who wants to take me through a checklist at a first meeting. Not looking to be somebody's project or their good deed. And not looking for anyone who thinks two years of lurking is either impressive or pathetic, because it was mostly just quiet.
