Sixty six, widowed, and an advert is a form I actually understand

My husband and I did this together for nearly thirty years and none of it ever involved a telephone. He died two years ago. When I eventually looked at what people use now, the platforms that show you a face and ask you to choose made no sense to me whatsoever, and then I found a board where people write an advert, which is a form I understand perfectly well, because it is how the two of us met in the first place.

Sixty six, north of the river. I am not fragile and I am not looking to be anybody's project. I have a great many friends, a full week, and one very specific absence in the middle of it.

We switched all the way through, and I was rather better at leading in the last decade than in the first. I am in no hurry to be anything in particular now. Companionship first, a real friendship, and then whatever either of us wants at whatever speed suits.

What I would ask is that you write like a person rather than like an advertisement for one.

Not looking for anybody who thinks a woman my age must be either fragile or a novelty. Not looking to be somebody's introduction to their own curiosity. And not looking to be photographed, ever, on any platform, which was true when I was thirty and is not going to change now.

Where a post like this belongs

Two directions is the hardest thing to say on a platform built around one label, and running a second app for the second direction is the usual expensive mistake.
