My family live within a mile of me and half of them are on the same general apps I would otherwise be on. That one fact rules out every platform whose model wants a photograph before it will show me anybody, which is most of the popular ones. What is left is the sort of place where an account can be four years old, thoughtful and faceless, and nobody treats that as a warning.
Twenty nine, Queens, submissive, three years in, all of it careful and all of it written.
I am not ashamed and this is not a tragic secret. It is that I would like to choose the moment my mother finds out, if she ever does, rather than have it chosen for me by a product showing my face to everybody within a few streets.
What I want is an ongoing arrangement with somebody who understands that discretion is a practice rather than a mood. Structure, standing rules, a rhythm that fits around a large family. I will meet early, in daylight, somewhere public and dull.
Not looking for anyone who needs photographs to begin. Not looking to be somebody's secret in the other direction, which is a different arrangement entirely. And not looking for a person who finds the caution romantic, because it is mostly just tiring.
