Every friend I have in this is on one platform, which is wonderful for company and impossible for dating. Anybody I approach there is two people away from somebody who will hear about it, and both of my previous arrangements came out of the same circle and both endings had to be managed in front of it. That is what happens when a whole social world shares one address.
Thirty three, the Jersey side, switch, seven years in. I am not falling out with anybody and I have no complaint about my friends, who are the best part of the last seven years.
What I want is one person from entirely outside it. Not a stranger with no references, since I am not reckless, but somebody whose opinion of me was not formed at second hand before we spoke. That is a surprisingly hard thing to arrange in a place where everybody is in one room.
Ongoing, structured, either direction with a lean towards leading. Weekly if the geography allows, with real terms rather than a general understanding.
Not looking for anybody who wants an introduction to my circle. Not looking to be discussed. And not looking for a person who will find it strange that I want to keep one thing to myself, because after seven years of everything being communal I would like exactly one thing that is not.
