The honest version is that I am not certain I want a relationship out of this, and every platform I have tried is built on the assumption that I do. The community sort at least allows for the possibility that a person might only want to be near people who understand something. The dating products do not. They have exactly one destination and every road inside them runs towards it.

What I am fairly sure of is that the part which interests me is not the physical part. It is being under somebody's authority in ordinary practical matters. Whether that wants to be a relationship, a friendship with a very particular shape, or something with no name at all that happens on Tuesdays, I could not tell you yet.
So this advert is genuinely open. If what you run has room in it for a person who is useful, reliable and not looking for romance, I would like to hear how that has worked for you.
Not looking for anybody who treats the absence of a physical element as a phase I will grow out of, which two people have. Not looking to be persuaded otherwise. And not looking for a person who needs the arrangement to be legible to their friends, because I suspect this one might never be.
